It's not rocket science... It's just a name.

Day 13 People! Not even halfway there yet! Whoop!

Today is actually a fun challenge: What are some of your nicknames?

I think most of you might know that my nicknames are closely-guarded, highly-confidential information. Other than my family, I think there are only three other people among my associations that actually know what my childhood nicknames were (and one of those persons found one of them out by accident). So don't get excited -- I'm not about to type them out and make them available for the entire WWW to see.

What's in a name though? I like to think my name is pretty unique. My mom did a great job naming me and my sister. People are so confused by my name, however, and I don't really think it's all that difficult. I have seen some interesting variations of Jean-Marie throughout my life so far, though:
  • Jeanmarie
  • Jean marie/Jean-marie (it's a huge pet peeve of mine when the M isn't capitalized)
  • Jan-Marie/Jenn-Marie
  • Jean Murray
  • Jean Mary
  • Jean M. Marie
  • Anne Marie
Just a few. If you ever want to look me up, if you Google Jean-Marie plus my last name, I'm pretty much the only one who will come up in the results. I mean, it's not some generic name like Ashley Jones or Jessica Johnson. Buuuuut, I just Googled only "Jean Marie" and got some interesting results. Check them out:

Jean Marie the Musician, California

Jean Marie Pasteries, New York

"The Jean Marie" the band

Jean Marie Salon, Illinois

Jean-Marie Portraits, Oregon

Jean Marie the Artist, Massachusetts

Jean Marie the Writer, Virginia

Jean Marie's School of Dance, Wisconsin

You should try it with your name... It will amuse you for hours!!
