Blog Challenge entry #7: Something you're looking forward to.
It's true; I have a birthday coming up. As I look ahead to my 27th year on this great planet, I really only feel one main emotion: fear of reaching 30. And since my birthday last year was utterly awful (I spent the whole day locked up in a conference room videotaping people giving speeches) I decided to do something where there is no question whatsoever as to whether or not it'll be fun. I've planned a trip to New York City, bitches.
I've requested the company of my two favorite travel companions and co-workers, MW & KA, and let it be known to all that we make up one incredible and unstoppable dream team. A few items from our itinerary include a Salvador Dali exhibit at the Time Warner Center, featuring a rare collection of sculptures, drawings and paintings from the private collection of Enrique Sabater, Dali's secretary and confidante from 1968-1981. We'll also be visiting the Museum of Sex, the Gap at Times Square, and most likely numerous strip clubs on the night of my birthday.
It's been a while since I've had a trip or major event to look forward to and I'm certainly excited to spend the weekend with two great friends in one great city.
